The pervasiveness of a lot of sketch troupes and stand-up comedians regularly cropping up in bars, music clubs, theaters, pubs and the entire Chicago comedy scene makes the reputation of Chicago as a comedy town well deserved. Comedy bars and clubs apparently dot the city’s map so patrons and visitors can actually go anywhere to have a good laugh. The Laughing Chameleon features stand up acts every night as well as a bar, small plate service, a retro arcade including a photo booth from helloflashy.com, pin ball machines and a Pac-Man machine.

Chicago’s comedy scene has been on for a very long time and it has already become a city where improvisation (improv) comedy was born and becomes an inspiration and is basically where new comedic ideas for skits are drawn out. One of the best around Chicago’s comedic scene is none other than The Laughing Chameleon Club.

comedy-signThe Laughing Chameleon was started by performers David and Dania Maas, well known for their “Quick Change” act which was considered one of the most original and amazing magic acts ever seen on live stage. They co-founded the Laughing Chameleon with business partners, Gary and Renee Walter to serve an under-developed market in which they found in North Shore. North Shore was an entertainment-hungry place that lacked a local comedy-variety club. In order to serve and to bring an alternative to driving downtown Chicago to have fun, the Laughing Chameleon sprung to existence.

The club is located in the Glen Tower Center and is considered as the prime destination in North Shore for patrons to have evening fun, enjoy delectable food and pure entertainment.
Aside from improv comedy acts and comedic skits, the club also houses illusionists and magicians to entertain visitors and patrons. While there is pure entertainment going on, the club features a full bar and small plate restaurant service to accommodate the customers. This club and restaurant can accommodate for up to 75 guests for private events and parties.

The club is open Tuesday through Sunday from 5:30 pm to 1:00 am and on Saturdays it opens until 2:00 am. For everyone to have a chance to entertain, open mic night is on Mondays at 7:00 pm. General admission with a two drink minimum is priced at $25 and up.

Come and bring your family and friends at The Laughing Chameleon Club and let’s all have a good time. Well of course, leave your kids at home. Pure night of laughs, entertainment and good food awaits you only at The Laughing Chameleon Club.
